God I miss this man. I sit here looking at his picture and I can hear him; coming into the kitchen, asking how things were. The smile the hug, the laughter, words of encouragement. Never have I had a boss that cared as much as he. He was a true teacher, and my what a wealth of info that man had, and was willing to share it  with those who were willing to learn.

No matter how busy that man was, he made the time.
I can remember sitting down at the table with him
one time, and him commenting on how true my
voice was, lol of course I didn't hear exactly what
he had said and thought he said I had a cruel voice
LMAO, my did we laugh, but he proceeded to tell
me exactly what he meant, always teaching, even to
tap his foot to show us girls the two step.

I got to know his favorite foods and made sure they
were served regularly, and even when he didn't like
whole wheat toast, he'd eat it because I told him to
LOL even Judy laughed at that one.

My buddy was de best. Oh how I wish he was
still here today, but life deals out what we have, and are left with the memories. Of the many things that I learned from Lorne,
one thing echoes in my mind, for I heard him say it time and time again and he so showed it in his own life; "Take the High Road". No truer words to live by.

Miss you Buddy,

love Mel
